Although I'm letting the cookbook go, which belonged to my grandmother, I'm keepin some of the best recipes. They include Spoon Bread, Cotton Blossom Popovers, Soft Gingerbread, Georgia Watermelon Rind Pickle, and Tomato Jelly to name a few. The book is chucked full of very tasty old time favorites that are easy to follow and make.
It's an interesting book - however, I was hoping for a cookbook with useable recipes - there are no specific ingredient amounts so, the cook has to guess....
This is a great little cookbook. I love looking for old cookbooks to see how people cooked and if there were little DIFFERENCES that could make a BIG taste difference.

Old recipes, but goodies. At least you know how they cooked from days gone by. Butter the size of an egg denotes they were not in sticks.
