I absolutely love reading people’s personal stories, and this one seriously tops the list. Benjamin Coakley has had so many interesting experiences in one of the strangest cities in the world, and it all comes out in ‘Winging It in Hollywood.’Some of the situations he finds himself in are laugh out loud funny, or kind of dangerous, or even incredibly lucky.
I’ll never be an aspiring actor in Hollywood, so it’s nice to find a story like this one to help me live someone else’s dream, whether they succeed or not.

We watch TMZ every night and I have read my fair share of Hollywood memoirs. To think that we are even given half of the story of some the crazy stuff that goes on in this town would be generous. Regardless, I'm still interested and author Benjamin Coakley has written a very entertaining memoir about his time in Hollywood as he pursues his big break. Many of the stories are quite funny while others just made me wish he'd go get a desk job somewhere so that he'd be safe. Overall, this is a very well-written read that definitely kept my interest, as most things in this town can. Recommended.
